About us

We are a multi award-winning international craft cider producer nestled in Napton-on-the-Hill in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside. We specialise in naturally-fermented ciders with high juice content and deep flavours. Our ciders are made from fresh apples sourced from traditional British orchards, creating a natural cider, free from additives. We have various ciders in draught, bottle and can formats, plus cider apple brandy, vinegar and apple juice. 

Our cidery is here at Holroyd House Farm and this is where all of our fantastic products are made. Our busy taproom/shop  serves as a hub for the community and a popular tourist destination.

About the job

We are looking for a keen energetic person willing to join our growing team on a part-time basis. The primary focus of this job is to oversee the entire process, from packing to delivery, of the cidery’s incoming and outgoing shipments. The role is very diverse as we are a small growing company and you would be expected help out in other areas of the business as and when necessary.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • overseeing incoming/outgoing shipments

  • performing data entry

  • performing inventory checks

  • performing duty suspended stock    checks and filing monthly duty reports

  • preparing orders for delivery

  • load/unload stock for collections/deliveries (forklift licence advantageous)

  • generating reports

  • liaising and looking for suppliers

  • organising and cleaning the facility

  • providing administrative support

  • communicating with customers/suppliers/hauliers

  • managing shipping files

  • Stock control

  • Inventory forecasting

 

Requirements

  • Forklift licence

  • Full clean driving license

  • Communication skills - Strong verbal skills to maintain effective communication with customers and suppliers. Good written communication skills to prepare shipping documents and fill out reports. Being a logistics assistant can also sometimes include performing customer service, so knowing how to converse professionally on the phone, face-to-face and via email is extremely helpful.

  • Problem-solving - Having strong problem-solving skills allows you to deal with unforeseen issues in an efficient and resourceful manner.

  • Teamwork - Effective teamwork helps the workplace function smoothly. This is especially important when working with shipments because they often have strict deadlines.

  • Computer literacy - Knowledge on how to use inventory management software, Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Industry knowledge

  • Understanding the inner workings of supply chains and logistics.

  • Organisation - Organisational skills allow you to fulfil a variety of your typical responsibilities: managing the inventory and supply, keeping the facility clean and organised.

  • Data entry - Understand how to update and enter information into a database. It's important when carrying out data entry that you pay close attention to detail.

  • Time management - Having excellent time management skills allows you to meet the expectations and requirements of your customers by delivering the shipments on time. This improves client satisfaction and increases the efficiency of the supply chain.

  • Interpersonal skills - Interpersonal skills can help with interacting with external and internal parties.

  • Flexibility - Working in logistics means that your priorities in the workplace may often change, depending on requirements.

  • Physical endurance - Being a logistics assistant often requires a certain level of physical labour, such as lifting heavy objects.

Practical information
